Definition/Theory (Class Summary)

2D computer graphics is the computer-based generation of digital images—mostly from two-dimensional models. These graphics are mainly used in applications that were originally developed upon traditional printing and drawing technologies.

Many graphical user interfaces (GUIs), including Mac OS, Microsoft Windows, or the X Window System, are primarily based on 2D graphical concepts.
